Thursday Sunday

Sorry about the lack of posts lately. I've been hit with the flu and I've been feeling pretty shite. I was actually feeling pretty happy with myself a few days earlier knowing that I'd done all my Christmas shopping on time (this is a first btw) and then out of nowhere, with a week to go till Christmas, it hit me like a ton of bricks. What makes this story worse is that I have huge deadlines at work before the holiday shut down and my boy and I have to drive 12 or so hours to get home for the Christmas break. All I really want to do right now is curl up in bed. Okay, okay...hehe...enough with the self pity. On a side note how gorgeous is the outfit above? It's from Thursday Sunday's AW12 collection. For more info head over here.

Editorial // Ji Lili by Stockton Johnson for Vogue China January 2012

Love this editorial featuring Ji Lili for Vogue China (January 2012). It reminds me I need to stay active this festive season because all those yummy little treats and second helpings add up. Still, if I owned any of these gorgeous pieces (by Celine, Alexander Wang, Bottega Veneta and Ohne Titel) they might just give me that bit of incentive to be more disciplined...hehe. Hope you're all having a fab weekend...If you're like me you'll be heading off to do your last minute Christmas shopping.

Editorial // Rock of Ages (Flare)

Love this editorial and really struggled to pick out a select few images to showcase, so if you're keen to see more head over here. Rock of Ages features in the January issue of Flare and was lensed by the uber talented Chris Nicholl’s. Dani Sutherland looks amazing.

121211 // Coveting this week

Ever since I saw the Neon denim jacket by Christopher Kane I haven't been able to get it out of my mind. Sadly, now isn't a good time to go crazy and buy anything for myself with all the Christmas shopping I still have to do. I can't believe I have left it late again - it really has a way of creeping up doesn't it? It looks like for now it's just a dream. Happy Monday everyone - have a great week!

Share // Russh magazine has a FREE app!

I thought I'd share a little something with you, just in case you haven't bookmarked Russh Magazine's webpage already and heard the news. Well, the good news is that Russh have just launched their very own app and it's awesome. You can download the full SS12 trend report plus loads more. After a miserable and very wet (supposedly Summer) day I couldn't think of anything better....except for some yummy complimentary macarons:) You can download the Russh APP for free here. Enjoy:)

Trend // Yellow

I thought I'd inject some colour today and seeing as the weather has been pretty gloomy for the last week or so I thought it might brighten things up a little (in place of the sun, which looks to have done a runner). Admittedly I don't own a lot of yellow in my wardrobe but I think it's a perfect mood lifter. Personally I'd opt for accessories in this hue as i don't think it particularly suits my skin tone, unless of course I'm wearing it in the form of a skirt, wide leg pants or shorts. Mmm, I think I should investigate these options a little further. Btw, how buttery soft does that Celine bag look in the last pic? Love it.

Anais Pouliot // Dress to Kill Winter 2011

My goodness...can Anais get any more gorgeous? Talk about sex on a pair of killer pins. She looks stunning in these sultry photographs for Dress to Kill Magazine.

Lensed by Nelson Simoneau and fitted in gorgeous wares by Louis Vuitton, Dolce & Gabbana, Michael Kors and Prabal Gurung, Anise is picture purr-fect. I'm especially loving the slicked back hair and strong eyebrows by Nicolas Blanchette.

For more of Anise check out one of my previous posts (and favourite editorials) here.

Collection // Zimmermann AW12

When I'm not loving simple, minimal styles and colours I'm loving Zimmermann's lustrous textures and patterns. I think (particularly in this instance) there is a sharpness and masculine tailoring to the collection which is why I think I'm predominantly drawn to it. This is a lovely transition from the light and airy SS11 collection which was equally amazing.

Love these // Topshop ASHLEY Lace Front Sandals

I stumbled across these over at Topshop and I have to say I really like them. I don't want to be over zealous and buy them, especially when my money seems to be going out the window on Christmas presents. So, if you happen to see someone pimping these beauties out there in the big wide blogosphere please be a darling and let me know as I'd love to see what they look like on. What do you guys think of them anyway?

051211: Coveting this week

The weather has been really strange lately....on average it's been a lot cooler since the official start of Summer. Prior to that, we were getting stinking hot days. Now even though I like Summer, deep down I secretly love Winter - well not just Winter but cooler weather in general. I think it's got to do with my love affair of knitwear and layering. So, in tribute to the cooler weather this is what I wish I could get my hands on this week. Have a great week everyone!

New In // Samantha Wills

My love affair with Samantha Wills products began many, many moons ago when I bought my very first cuff. Fast forward to today and I still can't begin to tell you how exciting it is to get a package from Samantha. Lucky for me (and you) her products can now be bought online.

Truth be told the experience is heightened because of all the small details - gorgeous ribbon bow, thank you card, packaging and then the product itself, in this case the beautiful Jasper Bracelet.

I have to say I continually get the best service from the Samantha - can't fault it in any way. You can see more of her range here....warning though, the products and service are very addictive.

Australia Rising // Shopbop

Quite like this little bit of 'Aussie' goodness over at shopbop. While I'm not particularly patriotic I am quite proud of our local designers who've made it big on a global scale. Gorgeous pieces from the likes of Ellery, Ksubi, Dion Lee, Sass & Bide, Therese Rawsthorne and Zimmermann modelled by little Miss Bambi.
