Hello lovelies, I'm quite impressed with the winter possibilities when looking at the White Suede AW12 collection aptly titled Complexity Vs Minimalism. This is just a small selection of gorgeous pieces. Love way too many pieces so posted this small selection of pretties. Head over to the site to see the complete look book.
Aren't these scarves by BAY & FYFE just divine? I'm absolutely in love with the Zebra print from the Zoo series (pictured above in the lead pic and scarf 2 directly below). The gorgeous silk scarves are by artist Daimon Downey who some of you may know as the MC from Sneaky Sound System. Damn those crafty creatives:) Prints come in runs of 400 so if you love one snap to to before they dissapear.
Hello lovelies and apologies for not posting in some time. I needed to attend to something urgently so unfortunately I couldn't post. Anyway to make up for my absence here are a couple of things I picked up over the last month that were on sale. I thought I'd finally post them before they lost their newness. I love, love, love my Sass & Bide pants. Thinking of wearing them with some strappy heels and a loose fitting tee. One of these days I'll post an actual outfit post. I saw these a while back and couldn't remember where as it was around the time I was Christmas shopping. I searched high and low and couldn't find them anywhere as I didn't know the style name. Happy to say they've found a new home now:) Anyone out there score some good sale items?
What you're looking at:
1. Sass & Bide 'Today A New' pants
2. House of Harlow 1960 Antique Gold Arrow Cuff
3. Zara denim jacket
I think Jessica Stam is such a fresh beauty so it was a delight to see her featured on Harpers Bazaar March issue (on sale Monday 30) as well as the special edition Collections issue. The covers were shot by Victor Demarchelier and styled by Jillian Davison and Christine Centenera. Love it.
Here are some of my favourite looks from Therese Rawsthorne's AW12 look book. One thing I love about this time of the year are the lookbooks that show up online. By this stage most of the summer stock is on sale and the leftover dribs and drabs aren't particularly desirable, unless of course you're wish item turns up on a sale rack. I have to say sales overseas always seem better than the ones here. By better I mean bigger reductions.
Love these looks so much from Maurie & Eve's Feels Like The First Time lookbook (AW12). I'm definitely going to keep an eye out for everything in the first pic. Hopefully the neon patent heels will be available too. All of a sudden Autum/Winter isn't looking so bad.
While you may have already seen Alexander Wang and Liya Krebede on the cover of S Moda it was the editorial (in the same magazine) that caught my attention. Nothing much has changed since I saw the Spring 2012 collection - I'm still drooling over his sporty chic designs. Fresh faced model Maria Bradley looks stunning - such a pretty face.
As you may recall in my previous posts, I'm a huge Dion Lee fan. And while I may not be able to afford pieces from his main line, his diffusion line is a little more budget friendly. I can see, that it's no surprise than, that I'm a little more than excited about his soon to be available new season collection, which admittedly is a even more masculine than his previous collections, albeit a little more sporty-utilitarian. You can really see the 'blue collar' influence in this collection, maybe not so much in the pics I've posted but if you have a look here you see what I mean.
Although you may have seen this a gazillion times already I wanted to post this, mostly for documentary purposes. I'm more than loving Chloe Sevigny with her brunette hairdo. She looks so chic and a little Jennifer Connelly don't you think? She features in S Moda. What do you guys think? Yay or nay?
Over the last year or so there's been a fetish explosion. Honestly speaking I love the subdued version and felt akin to this beautiful shoot with fetish inspired wares from labels such as Louis Vuitton, Gucci and Miu Miu. Total Domination features in Fashion Quarterly NZ . Shot by Simon Upton and styled by Marina Didovich. Model - Ollie Henderson.
I'm really loving all the hibiscus, animal print and baroque patterns in Topshops new South Pacific lookbook. These two looks were my personal favourites. If you haven't already seen the collection head over here.
It's back...here's the first of 'coveting this week' for 2012. Included are a couple of pieces I've been eying of late. The shoes and dress, by Australian designer Zimmerman is on sale but still a little out of my price range, particularly after my huge Christmas and post Christmas sales spend. Let me know if you're enjoying this feature on my blog. I'd love to hear your comments.
Happy New Year everyone and I hope you all had a lovely Christmas. Apologies for having doning a runner on you and my blog. I had intentions of blogging while I was away for Christmas but I didn't have access to the net and all my files and images were on my laptop, who battery had died and I forgot my charger so unfortunately I wasn't able to blog. I had a lovely break back home in Sydney and spent Christmas with family and friends. Holidays are never long enough in my opinion. I'm now back and after a few days rest from the long drive home (13 hours) and ready to get back into the swing of things. Thanks for your lovely comments and feedback last year. I feel this year will bring lots of new and exciting challenges and adventures and I hope you stick around for the ride.
ps: sorry about the dodgy pics.
