I've been feeling a little lackluster lately. Too much work and not enough play plus it's really starting to get cold and my cold hot water system is starting to annoy me - I really need to get a plumber over asap. Anyway I've been trawling the internet aimlessly and stumbled on some pics that have inspired me. I also discovered an amazing blog by the lovely and very gorgeous Soraya Bakhitar - this girl has got loads of style and seems so natural and down to earth which is really refreshing. I recommend you check out her blog if you haven't already stumbled upon it. Anyhoo, better get going. Hope you've all had a lovely start to the week!
These are breathtakingly stunning and come in this gorgeous colour called mandarin red. I've been gravitating toward this colour a lot lately and can see so many outfit possibilities if said heels found their way in my wardrobe.
A couple of things I'm loving this week. I'm trying to rebuild my staple of classic pieces that will last through several seasons plus the colour is cute. I probably wouldn't wear the scarf with this outfit but I liked it so much so thought I'd add it anyway. Hope you like:)
Here's my week in review. It's been a while since I've done one of these so let me know if you like it as I'm considering making this a weekly feature. Sorry about the dodgy photographs - my camera is temperamental at the best of times. Hope you all have a super relaxing and fun weekend:)
Here's what you're looking at:
1. My new Stila convertible colour in fuschia. It looks like a crazy colour but I assure you it gives the loveliest rosy tint to your cheeks and lips.
2. Catching up on the latest Harper's Bazaar Australia - you'll receive a bonus snood this month if you in Australia. Surprisingly it's really quite nice and soft to the touch.
3. New basic sweaters - yep it's that time of the year again and it's getting quite cool in Australia.
4. My little succulent looking beautifully architectural and trippy at the same time. Black thumb be gone please;)
5. Loving T2 tea atm - this time a choice between china jasmine and chamomile. China Jasmin won this time:)
I'm so in love with these pieces and if I could have one of each I'd be a very happy lady, but alas, money doesn't go on tress. If I had to pick my favourite it would be a tough toss up between the V-neck gladiator dress (red piece) and the gorgeous digi-print shift. Just wow and well done Mr M. Check out more irresistible pieces which are available for pre-order here.
Prepare to be blown away by some of Australia's best designers over at modaoperandi this week. First up is Josh Goot. You'll find lots of sleek tailoring and bold punchy digital designs, which Goot has become famous for. I'm really warming to the gorgeous pallette of orange, aqua and maroon.
Be sure to check out the following showings in the coming week too. I'm particularly looking forward to my new favourite Michael Lo Sordo. It's nice to see the aussies fairing so well especially after such a successful fashion week.
May 16 – Dion Lee

Dion Lee takes my breath away. His collections are continually out of this world. In fact, the only thing more 'out of this world' would be a lotto windfall (so I could buy all these pieces). You can find more of his amazing Fall/Winter (main line) collection here.
I've been following Viktoria + Woods for the past few seasons and in my opinion they just keep getting better and better. Linear, the winter collection, is by far my favourite and I'm literally frothing at the mouth with all the gorgeous pieces I'm seeing. These pieces define exactly what I want in my wardrobe - clean, minimal lines and a gorgeous palette. It'll be hard choosing which piece to get, although I have my heart set on the glacier Braxton coat - need this now especially with the cooler weather setting in.
Hello lovely peeps. A huge apology for being absent since my last post. Things have been hectic (and a little cold) here plus I've had some lovely friends come and visit from abroad, which always makes me happy.
Back to the post... I've been thinking about doing a huge wardrobe overhaul which coincidentally has me thinking about pieces I'd love to incorporate into my existing wardrobe (witth the pieces I want to keep). I'm absolutely in love with the coat by Viktoria + Woods, having tried it over the weekend. The fit is incredible and it's the loveliest 'glacier' colour. It also comes in a lovely navy colour but I'm really trying to steer away from darker colours which have dominated my wardrobe for a long time. The Nicholas pumps are also incredible but a little too pricey for me right now. Still, I'd be over the moon if they found there way into my wardrobe. Hope you like the post. Care to share what you're all coveting at the moment?
